Pets of the Week
Brick
"Brick"
Brick is a 2 year old brindle and white, very large and powerful Boxer-Bulldog cross. He reminds us of the dog on “Little Rascals”. He is strong, energetic and does enjoy romping out on the trails or in the dog yards. He was brought to the shelter from Leech Lake Animal Control. He does not get along well with all dogs. He prefers to pick and choose his own friends.  He would do best in an adult setting or as an only dog in a home. He is neutered, has had his basic vaccinations and is ready for his new home.

Hannah
"Hannah"

Gia
"Gia"

Hannah and Gia are Siamese-Burmese cross females who both came into the shelter as strays. Gia is approximately
2-½ yrs old and was found in Kelliher as a stray. Hannah is approximately 3 yrs old and was found here in Bemidji (very pregnant). She later had 4 kittens. Gia and Hannah play very well together and we think they would make a great pair! They have oriental or “artsy-looking” features and who can tell them apart? They are like a set of twins! They have brilliant blue eyes. Both are very friendly and do well around other cats, and just love people.  They love attention, enjoy cuddles when they are tired. Both of these girls are spayed, have had their basic vaccinations and ready to go home!

We Need a Van or Truck! Can You Help?

Beltrami Humane Society is desperately in need of a well maintained vehicle (Van or Truck with Topper).

This vehicle would have lots of uses:

  • Transporting animals back and forth to the Veterinary Clinics for their spay/neuter appointments, medical care etc.

  • Picking up supplies or donations

  • Taking animals out into the community for nursing home visits, school visits, secular club visits, college or scout meetings

  • Transport kennels and/or equipment out to these extra curricular events.

Can you help?  Please contact the shelter as soon as possible.
